The biggest birthday bash the Fringe has ever thrown, this free event
features Ridely Bent, Big John Bates & the Voodoo Dollz, and local
hipsters Hank & Lily. Fringe-style rockabilly, burlesque, gee-tars
and mayhem, hosted by 2006 Fringe fest performers Matthew Payne (Theatre
SKAM) and Michael Delamont (Cannibal! The Musical). Not to be missed.

Pre-fest chaos as a dozen Fringe companies seize the stage for sneak
peeks and promos of their upcoming shows, opening night ticket giveaways,
and a draw for a 2006 Fringe VIP Superpass! Free admission if you bring
your 2006 Visa button, or $5 cover at the door.
FRINGEKIDS FEST

MARKET SQUARE (LOWER JOHNSON STREET)
The Fringe’s 100% FREE end-of-summer splash for kids returns with
live music, entertainment, face-painting, daredevil stunts, and oodles
of fun stuff to make and do! If you’re able, bring along a donation
of new school supplies for the Backpack Attack – Market Square’s
program for kids in need headed back to school.

One night only! Come and enjoy a free screening of Victoria-made short
films in our licensed venue. Presented in association with Cinevic: The
Independent Filmmakers Society.

AUGUST 28 to SEPTEMBER 1, 10 AM - 4 PM ($110/WEEK)
Spilt Milk Comedy Theatre returns with its 8th year of their showbiz
day camp for young people aged 6-16. It’s a one-week camp where
participants will design, develop, and star in their own “Fringe”
show! A great introduction to theatre, with an emphasis on fun, creativity,
and teamwork. If you ever had a desire to be onstage, this is your chance
to star in your own show!
