BECOME A MEMBER ($5) - THE VISA BUTTON
100% of the ticket price you pay goes directly to the performers, so the Visa Button helps Intrepid Theatre cover the cost of producing the festival. It’s your annual membership to the Fringe.
You must have a Fringe Visa Button, and a ticket, to see a Fringe show. The button costs $5. Buy a button at the door of any fringe venue, or at the Fringe Ticket Kiosk. Don’t lose it, or you’ll have to buy another! Kids under 12 don’t need Visa Buttons.
Your button comes with a "Pick of the Fringe" Ballot – when you’ve seen all you can see, fill it out and drop it off at any Fringe Venue and you’ll be entered to win a VIP Pass to the 2006 Fringe or Uno Festival. Thursday Aug 25th Only, Fringe Visa Buttons are 2-for-$5 with your at-the-door purchase of a ticket to any Opening Night Show.
GET TICKETS
- All tickets are general admission – there is no reserved seating.
- Venues usually open about 10 minutes prior to showtime.
- NO LATECOMERS WILL BE ADMITTED, even if you have a ticket.
- Each ticketholder over 12 yrs must have a Fringe Visa Button to enter.
- No exchanges or refunds on fringe tickets or passes.
AT THE DOOR: at least 50% of the tickets to each show will be on sale at the door of the venue 60 minutes prior to showtime, CASH or MUNCHCARDS only. You may have to line up before tickets go one sale for popular shows.
IN ADVANCE: There is a $2 convenience charge on each advance ticket purchased online, by phone, or in person at the Fringe Ticket Kiosk.
ONLINE: Now Open 24 hours! Online advance tickets are available until 7 pm the night before the show. When purchasing advance tickets by phone or online, your complete ticket order will be waiting for you at the venue box office of the first show you are going to see. All single tickets online are $10 (includes surcharge).
BY PHONE: (250) 383-2691. Now Noon - 5pm Daily! Advance tickets by phone are available until 3 hours before the show.
IN PERSON at the Fringe Ticket Kiosk, opening August 22, Noon - 7pm daily. Located near City Hall, Pandora at Broad St. We accept Visa, Master Card, American Express, Debit and cash at the kiosk. Advance tickets by phone or in person are available until 3 hours prior to showtime.
MULTI-SHOW PASSES
Six and ten-show Munchcards ($51 and $83, +GST) are available through the Fringe Ticket Kiosk, by phone, and online. We accept Visa/Mastercard/American Express. Use your Munchcard to get convenience-charge-free advance tickets from the Fringe Ticket Kiosk (in person only) up to 3 hours prior to the show, or at the door. You can share a munchcard with friends to get multiple tickets to one show, but you will each need your own Visa Button (not included).
FOR STUDENTS AND HARDCORE FRINGERS ONLY!
Frequent Fringer Passes are $57(+GST) for 10 shows, and include a Visa Button. These passes cannot be shared and are valid only at the door, not for advance tickets. Only 100 available: book yours now online or by calling (250) 383-2691.
KIDS AT THE FRINGE
- We recommend the Free Fringekids Fest for Fringers under 12 yrs, and the musical production at St Michaels University School
- Most ticketed shows at the Fringe are adult-oriented.
- Performers provide suitability ratings/warnings in their show descriptions.
- Shows rated ALL AGES may not be suitable for young children.
- Performers have the right to enforce an ADULTS ONLY or 14+ rating.
- Small children and babes-in-arms will require tickets.
