Caprina Valentine is a young, award-winning web developer and designer with 10 years experience developing high-quality websites for clients in a range of industries on Vancouver Island and beyond. I design and build websites both for direct-to-client and subcontract to web development firms. I also work with graphic designers to realize a cooperative vision that will work effectively on the internet. This means I have experience working in a team environment as well as running a one-woman show. Recent Projects

Check out my newest website design and development projects... all backed by standards-compliant code. (I cover the pretty, and the technical!) And flexible width websites are back! Of course, with a max-width to preserve good line-length readability. All of my recent projects are validated XHTML Strict and CSS compliant, meaning they will appear consistent across multiple browsers and operating systems. Separating content from design also results in leaner, cleaner code, which is more accessible and search engine friendly (always a good thing!)

Pacifica Housing

Pacifica Housing Advisory Association | Victoria, BC
As a resident in downtown Victoria, I see the effects of a lack of affordable housing and other social problems first hand, so I jumped at the chance to volunteer my skills for Pacifica Housing, a non-profit group which aims to provide affordable housing and homelessness outreach services in downtown Victoria. The entire project involved an update to their organizational identity design including logo, business cards, brochure, and complete website design and development.
